STYRAX BENZOIN ESSENTIAL OIL

Description

There are three types of frankincense that grow endemic to the Toba highlands, namely Toba frankincense (Styrax sumatrana), bulu (Styrax paralleloneurus), and durame (Styrax benzoin). This essential oil has a very distinctive sweet, warm, balsamic and vanilla aroma. Its warm and sweet aroma helps create a calming atmosphere and provides a feeling of comfort. Styrax Benzoin Resin has traditionally been used in incense applications. The resin normally is available in chunks or can be powderized just prior to use (the powder will re-harden if left too long).
